How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Shepherd of the Cosmos, adding CC.
2. When Shepherd of the Cosmos dies, Kaya's Ghostform triggers, returning Shepherd of the Cosmos from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Shepherd of the Cosmos enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Kaya's Ghostform from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to Shepherd of the Cosmos.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Ashnod's Altar into an engine for endless colorless mana by exploiting a recursive resurrection cycle. Whenever Shepherd of the Cosmos is sacrificed to the altar, Kaya's Ghostform immediately returns it to the battlefield, while its own entry trigger simultaneously plucks Kaya's Ghostform right back out of the graveyard to reattach itself. This seamless partnership lets you repeat the process indefinitely, generating an infinite stream of sacrifices, leaves-the-battlefield triggers, and enters-the-battlefield events.
