How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Shepherd of the Cosmos.
2. When Shepherd of the Cosmos dies, Kaya's Ghostform triggers, returning Shepherd of the Cosmos from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Shepherd of the Cosmos enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Kaya's Ghostform from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to Shepherd of the Cosmos.
4. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Carrion Feeder into an unstoppable growth engine by exploiting a recursive loop of life and death. When you sacrifice Shepherd of the Cosmos to feed the Carrion Feeder, Kaya's Ghostform steps in to immediately rescue the Shepherd from the graveyard, while also triggering the Shepherd's own entrance ability to bring the Ghostform right back with it. Because the Shepherd's mana value is a modest 2, it easily qualifies to pull the Ghostform back from the graveyard every single time it touches the battlefield, creating an endless cycle of sacrifices that pumps the Carrion Feeder with infinite +1/+1 counters.
