How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing Shepherd of the Cosmos.
2. When Shepherd of the Cosmos dies, Necrogen Communion triggers, returning Shepherd of the Cosmos from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Shepherd of the Cosmos enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Necrogen Communion from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to Shepherd of the Cosmos.
4. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on the recursive synergy between Shepherd of the Cosmos and Necrogen Communion to endlessly recycle each other. By sacrificing the Shepherd to Yahenni, Undying Partisan's activation, you trigger Necrogen Communion's death effect to pull the Shepherd right back from the graveyard. That return immediately triggers the Shepherd's own entrance ability to fetch the Necrogen Communion back to the battlefield, ready to enchant the Shepherd once more. Yahenni happily grows larger with each iteration while orchestrating this infinite cycle of sacrifices, leaving you with endless enters-the-battlefield, leaves-the-battlefield, and death triggers.
