How it works

1. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Shepherd of the Cosmos.
2. When Shepherd of the Cosmos dies, Fungal Fortitude triggers, returning Shepherd of the Cosmos from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Shepherd of the Cosmos enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Fungal Fortitude from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to Shepherd of the Cosmos.
4. Resolve the Phantom Train ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns a clever graveyard recycling trick into an endless loop by leveraging Phantom Train as a reliable outlet to feed our engine. Fungal Fortitude ensures that whenever Shepherd of the Cosmos meets its end, it immediately bounces right back to the battlefield instead of staying down. That reentry triggers Shepherd of the Cosmos's own ability, plucking Fungal Fortitude straight out of the graveyard and reattaching it to keep the cycle going forever.
