How it works

1. Activate Torchling's first ability by tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Torchling by paying , untapping it.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Torchling into a self-sustaining mana factory by leveraging the mana-generating power granted by Cryptolith Rite. Normally, tapping Torchling to add red mana would leave it exhausted, but its activated ability lets you spend one of those generated red mana to untap it immediately. When you factor in Nyxbloom Ancient, that single tap produces triple the mana—yielding a net gain of two red mana per iteration. You can repeat this process endlessly to accumulate infinite colored mana for a massive X-spell or lethal attack.
