How it works

1. Cast Artificial Evolution by paying , changing all instances of "Pirate" on Malcolm to "Human" or "Warrior" until end of turn.
2. Activate Embraal Gear-Smasher by tapping it and sacrificing an artifact, dealing 2 damage to each opponent.
3. Malcolm triggers, creating a Treasure artifact token for each opponent dealt damage by Embraal Gear-Smasher.
4. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
5. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying , untapping Embraal Gear-Smasher.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever brew reengineers Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator with Artificial Evolution, rewriting his creature type so that any damage-dealing permanent counts as the right kin. With Freed from the Real enchanting Embraal Gear-Smasher, you can repeatedly tap the Gear-Smasher to sacrifice a Treasure token and blast your opponents for two damage. Malcolm then triggers off that damage to instantly replace the sacrificed artifact with a fresh Treasure token, which taps for the blue mana needed to untap the Gear-Smasher and loop the whole process again.
