How it works

1. Activate Embraal Gear-Smasher by tapping it and sacrificing another artifact, dealing 2 damage to each opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating a Treasure artifact token for each opponent dealt damage by Embraal Gear-Smasher.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
4. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying , untapping Embraal Gear-Smasher.
5. Repeat.

This engine uses Arcane Adaptation to rewrite the rules of your battlefield, turning Embraal Gear-Smasher and any other non-Pirates into honorary Pirates. With that tribal umbrella in place, every activation of Embraal Gear-Smasher causes your opponents to take damage, which immediately triggers Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator to manufacture a fresh batch of Treasure tokens. You then crack one of those Treasures for blue mana to fuel Freed from the Real, untapping Embraal Gear-Smasher so it can sacrifice the next token in an endless loop of fiery devastation and profit.
