How it works

1. Deal combat damage to an opponent with Virtus.
2. Virtus triggers, causing the opponent to lose half their life total, rounded up.
3. At the beginning of your end step, Astarion triggers, causing the opponent to lose life equal to the life they lost this turn.
4. The opponent loses the game due to having zero or less life.

This lethal partnership lets you mathematically dismantle an opponent in a single swing, turning their own life total against them. When Virtus the Veiled connects in combat, its ability ruthlessly halves that player's life, generating a massive pile of life lost for the turn. Right on cue, Astarion, the Decadent swoops in during your end step to capitalize on that exact loss, using its Feed mode to duplicate the damage and drain the opponent all the way down to zero.
