How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Immortal Sun.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Distinguished Conjurer triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Distinguished Conjurer trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Distinguished Conjurer trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This brilliant loop is built on cost reducers and self-bouncing creatures, turning the mana-free casting of Whitemane Lion into an endless engine of creation. Because The Immortal Sun reduces generic costs by one and Defiler of Faith shaves off the white mana requirement when you pay two life, you can cast the Lion for free while the Defiler simultaneously rewards that cast by churning out a 1/1 Soldier token. Each time that token or the Lion enters the battlefield, Distinguished Conjurer triggers to pad your life total, and the Lion's own entry trigger forces it right back to your hand so you can repeat the whole process.
