How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Immortal Sun.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Kor Celebrant triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Kor Celebrant trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Kor Celebrant trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a simple cat into a self-sustaining engine by completely removing its mana cost through the combined cost reductions of The Immortal Sun and Defiler of Faith. Because Defiler of Faith lets you substitute life for white mana, you can repeatedly cast Whitemane Lion for zero mana while creating a steady stream of 1/1 Soldier tokens in the process. Each time those tokens or the Lion itself enter the battlefield, Kor Celebrant steps in to pad your life total, effortlessly offsetting the life spent on your casts.
