How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Immortal Sun.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Guide of Souls triggers, causing you to gain life and get E
4. Resolve Kor Skyfisher. When it enters, it and Guide of Souls trigger.
5. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Guide of Souls trigger, causing you to gain life and get E
7. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Kor Skyfisher into a self-sustaining engine by completely removing its mana cost. Thanks to the cost-reducing synergy of The Immortal Sun and Defiler of Faith, you can cast the Kor Skyfisher for free by paying life instead, while the Defiler simultaneously floods your board with 1/1 Soldier creature tokens every time you cast it. Each time a token enters, Guide of Souls triggers to fuel your energy reserves and pad your life total. Finally, when the free Kor Skyfisher enters the battlefield, its own drawback forces it right back to your hand so you can repeat the process indefinitely.
