How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Immortal Sun.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Prosperous Innkeeper triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Prosperous Innkeeper trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Prosperous Innkeeper trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This loop relies on a clever cost-reduction engine to cast and reset Whitemane Lion for zero mana, turning your entire board into a cascading fountain of value. With The Immortal Sun and Defiler of Faith both actively reducing creature spell costs, the white lion becomes completely free to cast—though Defiler of Faith requires you to pay 2 life instead. Each time the cat arrives, its self-bounce ability lets it pick itself right back up, while Prosperous Innkeeper buffers your life total against that life-loss cost and rewards you every time the Defiler churns out a fresh 1/1 Soldier token.
