How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Immortal Sun.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Thunder of Unity triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Thunder of Unity trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Thunder of Unity trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This loop relies on a clever cost-reduction engine to cast and reset Whitemane Lion for free, turning a single cat into a storm of bodies. Both Defiler of Faith and The Immortal Sun work together to completely eliminate the mana cost of casting creature spells, allowing you to repeatedly deploy Whitemane Lion with only a small drain on your life total while the Defiler simultaneously floods your board with 1/1 Soldier creature tokens. Every time those tokens or the Lion enter the battlefield, the Chapters II and III abilities of Thunder of Unity trigger to drain your opponents out of the game through infinite lifeloss and lifegain.
