How it works

1. Activate Spike Feeder's last ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, gaining 2 life.
2. Light of Promise triggers, putting two +1/+1 counters on Spike Feeder.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Spike Feeder's self-sustaining life source into a growing avalanche of power by exploiting how counters interact with life gain. Whenever you spend one of Spike Feeder's counters to gain 2 life, the enchanted creature immediately catches the attention of Light of Promise, which triggers to place two brand-new +1/+1 counters right back onto Spike Feeder. Because you end up with more counters than you started with, you can repeat the process indefinitely to generate infinite life and arbitrarily large creatures.
