How it works

1. Put a +1/+1 counter on Benthic Biomancer.
2. Benthic Biomancer triggers, causing you to loot.
3. Glint-Horn Buccaneer triggers, dealing 1 damage to each opponent and causing you to gain that much life.
4. Benthic Biomancer triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever engine transforms a simple pump into a devastating loop by turning card flow directly into life and damage. It all begins when you put a +1/+1 counter on Benthic Biomancer, triggering its ability to loot by drawing and discarding a card. That discarded card immediately wakes up Glint-Horn Buccaneer, which blasts each opponent for 1 damage. Thanks to the lifelink-style effect granted by Light of Promise, the damage dealt by Glint-Horn Buccaneer causes you to gain an equal amount of life. That sudden influx of life triggers Light-of-Promise's enchanted creature ability to place another +1/+1 counter right back onto Benthic Biomancer, restarting the entire cycle to shred your opponents' life totals.
