How it works

1. Activate Staff of Domination's second ability by paying 2 and tapping it, causing you to gain 1 life.
2. Cryptic Trilobite triggers twice, putting two +1/+1 counters on it.
3. Activate Cryptic Trilobite twice by removing two +1/+1 counters from it, adding CCCC that can only be spent to activate abilities.
4. Activate Staff of Domination's first ability by paying 1, untapping it.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop harnesses the multi-talented utility of Staff of Domination to generate boundless resources, fueled entirely by the specialized mana-generation of Cryptic Trilobite. By repeatedly paying to gain life with the Staff, you trigger the stat-boosting enchantments Light of Promise and Sunbond, which exponentially grow the Trilobite with fresh +1/+1 counters each time life is gained. Those counters are then stripped away to feed the Trilobite's restricted mana ability, creating a self-sustaining engine that leaves you with infinite colorless mana to spend exclusively on abilities. Once this engine is humming, you can easily pivot the Staff's untap and draw abilities to draw your entire deck and take total control of the board.
