How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Light of Promise triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
3. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a creature token.
4. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Haliya triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This loop starts with any initial life gain, which causes Light of Promise to place a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth. That counter placement immediately prompts Herd Baloth to create a 4/4 green Beast token, and the arrival of that new token triggers Haliya, Guided by Light to grant you 1 life. Because you just gained life, Light of Promise triggers once more to drop another counter on Herd Baloth, sustaining an endless cycle of growing beasts and accumulating life.
