How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Basking Broodscale triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
3. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
4. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Soul's Attendant triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop is ignited the moment you gain a single point of life, which prompts Light of Promise to place a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale. That influx of counters triggers Basking Broodscale's inherent ability to spawn an Eldrazi token, whose arrival onto the battlefield immediately wakes up Soul's Attendant to grant you another life. Because that new lifegain feeds right back into Light of Promise, the entire engine restarts itself autonomously, rewarding you with an unbounded army of tokens, infinite +1/+1 counters, and a limitless supply of colorless mana.
