How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Light of Promise triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
3. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a creature token.
4. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Daxos triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop transforms a single instance of lifegain into a self-sustaining engine of growth and accumulation. It all begins when you gain life, causing Light of Promise to place a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth. That influx of power immediately awakens Herd Baloth's second ability to spawn a 4/4 green Beast token. As that token enters the battlefield, Daxos, Blessed by the Sun notices the new arrival and rewards your devotion with a fresh point of life, feeding right back into Light of Promise to start the cycle anew.
