How it works

1. Cast Moritte either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 2 plus commander tax if applicable. Choose to have it enter as a copy of the persist creature that is still legendary.
2. Put Moritte into your graveyard due to the legend rule. When it dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it due to its ability. Choose to have it enter as a copy of the persist creature that is still legendary.
3. Repeat step 2.
