How it works

1. Cast Moritte of the Frost by paying its mana cost. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
2. Put Moritte of the Frost into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. Moritte of the Frost's first ability and second ability trigger, along with Rakdos Joins Up's second ability.
4. Resolve Moritte of the Frost's second trigger and Rakdos Joins Up's trigger, dealing damage to target opponent and causing you to gain that much life.
5. Resolve Moritte of the Frost's first trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This brilliant loop relies on the legend rule to repeatedly sacrifice our enchantments and trigger their own demise. When you cast Moritte of the Frost and choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up, state-based actions immediately send the newly copied enchantment to the graveyard because you already control a legendary Rakdos Joins Up. As Moritte dies, its own copied death trigger and the original Rakdos Joins Up's second ability both trigger to rain down massive damage on your opponent. Meanwhile, Moritte's copied entry trigger sees itself hitting the graveyard and immediately returns it to the battlefield as a fresh copy of Rakdos Joins Up, setting the stage to repeat the entire devastating cycle endlessly.
