How it works

1. Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
2. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Jegantha.
3. Activate Horde of Notions by paying , causing you to cast Jegantha from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns Jegantha, the Wellspring into a self-sustaining mana and sacrifice engine by leaning on its ability to produce the exact five-color mana required to recast it. Thermopod provides the necessary sacrifice outlet to bin Jegantha while turning that death into the red mana you need, as well as giving haste if required. Meanwhile, Horde of Notions acts as the engine's core recurrer, using its ability to pull Jegantha straight back out of the graveyard and onto the battlefield for free. Though Dragonlord Kolaghan doesn't actively participate in the mana loop steps, its presence in the deck rounds out your elemental threats and payoff options in formats like commander, legacy, oathbreaker, and vintage.
