How it works

1. Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
2. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Jegantha.
3. Activate Horde of Notions by paying , causing you to cast Jegantha from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop centers on Jegantha, the Wellspring, whose restriction against paying generic mana is deftly bypassed because Horde of Notions requires a strict five-color mana payment of {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} to cast an Elemental from your graveyard. Once Jegantha is sacrificed to Thermopod to generate the necessary red mana and feed the engine, Horde of Notions uses the exact mana produced by Jegantha to bring our beloved Elk Elemental companion right back to the battlefield. Meanwhile, Concordant Crossroads ensures that Jegantha enters the battlefield with immediate haste so the tap ability can be used instantly without waiting around.
