How it works

1. Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Jegantha.
3. Activate Horde of Notions by paying , causing you to cast Jegantha from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This delightful loop uses Ashnod's Altar as an engine to constantly recycle and recast our legendary elk. Jegantha, the Wellspring provides the exact five-color mana requirement needed for Horde of Notions to cheat Jegantha straight back from the graveyard, while the Altar sacrifices Jegantha to generate the colorless mana and fuel future activations. Meanwhile, Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler pulls double duty by granting Jegantha pseudo-haste so it can tap immediately upon entering the battlefield—though Tyvar's +1 ability and −2 resurrection also help set up the graveyard or untap pieces in a pinch.
