How it works

  1. Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding W manaU manaB manaR manaG mana that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
  2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Jegantha.
  3. Activate Horde of Notions by paying W manaU manaB manaR manaG mana, causing you to cast Jegantha from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
  4. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recycling, fueled entirely by the strict color requirements of Jegantha, the Wellspring and Horde of Notions. You tap Jegantha to generate the exact five-color mana restriction needed to fuel Horde of Notions' ability, then use Phyrexian Altar to sacrifice Jegantha and simultaneously refund you with a clean, unrestricted colored mana. Because Jegantha is an Elemental, Horde of Notions can continuously pull it straight from your graveyard back onto the battlefield, creating a self-sustaining engine. While Garna, the Bloodflame isn't strictly necessary for the core loop since Horde of Notions casts Jegantha directly, Garna's passive haste and return-to-hand trigger can easily tie a broader Elemental-heavy strategy together into an unstoppable wave of sacrifices and recursion.
