How it works

1. Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
2. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Jegantha.
3. Activate Horde of Notions by paying , causing you to cast Jegantha from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop lets you continuously recycle Jegantha, the Wellspring through the graveyard, utilizing its own tapped mana production to fuel the very engine that brings it back. By sacrificing Jegantha to Altar of Dementia, you trigger its death while simultaneously milling a target player out with the sacrifice. From there, Horde of Notions steps in to cast Jegantha directly from your graveyard for free using the exact five-color mana Jegantha produced before its demise. While The Fire Crystal isn't strictly necessary for the core loop to close, its passive haste grants Jegantha the ability to tap for mana immediately upon returning to the battlefield, completing this self-sustaining cycle of resurrection and mill.
