How it works

1. Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
2. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Jegantha.
3. Activate Horde of Notions by paying , causing you to cast Jegantha from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This looping engine harnesses the five-color bounty of Jegantha, the Wellspring, feeding its mana directly into Horde of Notions to continually resurrect the legendary Elk from the graveyard without ever paying its mana cost. While Jegantha's restriction normally forbids spending that mana on generic costs, Horde's activation requirement is entirely colored, making them a match made in heaven. To make this cycle repeatable, Umbral Collar Zealot provides the necessary sacrifice outlet to send Jegantha back to the graveyard, while Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu bypasses summoning sickness so Jegantha can tap for mana the very moment it returns.
