How it works
- Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
- If Ashling's Command is in your graveyard, activate Horde of Notions by paying , causing you to cast Ashling's Command from your graveyard without paying its mana cost. Otherwise, cast Ashling's Command by paying 3.
- Resolve Ashling's Command, creating a token copy of Jegantha and choosing any of its remaining modes.
- Put the tapped Jegantha into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
- Repeat using the Jegantha token.
This loop relies on an infinite recursion of casting Ashling's Command from your graveyard using Horde of Notions, choosing its mode to copy an Elemental. Because Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu grants your creatures haste, the newly created Jegantha, the Wellspring token enters ready to tap for the exact five-color mana required to recast the spell. When the legend rule forces the original Jegantha into the graveyard, Horde of Notions simply reanimates Ashling's Command again to keep the engine churning. Meanwhile, Shang-Chi's mana ability can help fuel other activations, and Jegantha's mana seamlessly pays for the Horde's activation while letting you generate a wealth of Treasures, cards, and tokens along the way.
