How it works

1. Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
2. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Jegantha.
3. Activate Horde of Notions by paying , causing you to cast Jegantha from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This brilliant loop turns the restrictive color requirements of Jegantha, the Wellspring into an engine by cycling the legendary Elk through the graveyard and back. Because Thermopod lets you sacrifice creatures for red mana without paying generic costs, you can instantly turn Jegantha's colorful activation into the precise red mana needed to fuel Horde of Notions' resurrection ability. Horde of Notions then casts Jegantha right back onto the battlefield for free, bypassing commander tax or casting restrictions entirely. Meanwhile, Maelstrom Wanderer passively grants haste to your creatures so Jegantha is always ready to tap the very moment it hits the board, completing an infinite cycle of sacrifice and rebirth.
