How it works

1. Activate Jegantha by tapping it, adding that cannot be spent to pay generic mana costs.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Jegantha.
3. Activate Horde of Notions by paying , causing you to cast Jegantha from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on turning Jegantha, the Wellspring into a self-sustaining engine by cycling it directly from the graveyard back onto the battlefield. Tapping Jegantha provides the exact five-color mana requirement for Horde of Notions, which acts as the commander of the operation by playing Jegantha from the graveyard for free. Ashnod's Altar then provides the necessary sacrifice outlet to send Jegantha back to the graveyard while spitting out two colorless mana every iteration. Meanwhile, Fervor ensures that Jegantha gains haste the moment it returns, allowing it to tap for mana immediately without waiting a turn.
