How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Golgari Thug, adding B mana.
  2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Weatherlight Compleated trigger.
  3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the top of your library.
  4. Wan Shi Tong's second ability triggers, creating two 1/1 Spirit creature tokens.
  5. Resolve the Weatherlight Compleated trigger, putting a phyresis counter on it and causing you to draw Golgari Thug from your library.
  6. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing a Spirit, adding 1.
  7. When the Spirit dies, Weatherlight Compleated triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  8. Cast Golgari Thug by paying 1B mana.
  9. Repeat.
