How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Weatherlight Compleated trigger.
3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, putting it on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Weatherlight Compleated trigger, putting a phyresis counter on it and causing you to draw Golgari Thug from the top of your library.
5. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability from step 1, dealing 1 damage to any target.
6. Cast Golgari Thug by paying 0 due to Aluren.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop lets you weaponize the graveyard by leveraging Aluren to cast Golgari Thug completely for free at instant speed whenever you please. Each time you sacrifice the Thug to Goblin Bombardment, it triggers both its own stacking effect and Weatherlight Compleated, which eagerly tracks the carnage to put phyresis counters on itself. Because the Thug places itself right back on top of your library upon dying, Weatherlight Compleated's subsequent trigger immediately draws it into your hand, setting the stage to deploy the Thug once more for zero mana and repeat the cycle for infinite damage.
