How it works

1. Declare Hellkite Charger and Firebending Student as attackers, triggering each of their abilities.
2. Resolve the Firebending Student trigger, adding an amount of equal to its power.
3. Resolve the Hellkite Charger trigger, causing you to pay 5 to untap all attacking creatures and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
4. Repeat each combat phase.

As both dragons and monks charge into battle, Firebending Student's Firebending ability generates a surge of red mana equal to its power to help foot the heavy cost of Hellkite Charger's extra combat trigger. By paying to untap your attackers after every combat phase, you continuously feed the loop, turning one initial assault into infinite combat phases, infinite red mana, and infinite combat damage.
