This clever loop relies on Exchange of Words to completely rewrite the rules of your creatures, swapping the text boxes of Vegetation Abomination and Initiates of the Ebon Hand so that the abomination gains the mana-producing ability while keeping its own zero-mana activation cost. Because Initiates of the Ebon Hand retains its original text box under the new identity, its activation counts toward its own four-activation restriction, but the altered Vegetation Abomination sidesteps this entirely and can be tapped and sacrificed indefinitely to generate endless black mana. Meanwhile, Sam, Loyal Attendant sits quietly on the board providing backup value through its Food generation and cost reduction, completing a bizarre and brilliant mechanical synergy.
