How it works

1. Activate Cormela by paying 1 and tapping it, adding that can only be spent to cast instant or sorcery spells.
2. Cast Demonic Gifts by paying 1, targeting Cormela.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Cormela, adding 1.
4. When Cormela dies, it triggers twice.
5. Resolve the first trigger, returning Cormela from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Resolve the second trigger, returning Demonic Gifts from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Repeat.

This looping engine transforms Cormela, Glamour Thief into an infinite mana and death trigger generator by exploiting her clever ability to both fund spells and recycle her own resources. You initiate the sequence by tapping Cormela to generate specialized mana, which helps pay for Demonic Gifts to enchant her with a delayed resurrection effect. Sacrificing Cormela to Phyrexian Altar not only feeds the loop with color-fixing mana, but triggers both her own death-return clause and the one granted by Demonic Gifts—letting you loop Demonic Gifts right back to your hand while Cormela returns directly to the battlefield.
