How it works

1. Cast Rograkh either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 0 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. Rograkh enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Metallic Mimic.
3. Activate Together Forever by paying 1, targeting Rograkh.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Rograkh, adding CC.
5. When Rograkh dies, Together Forever triggers, returning Rograkh to your hand from your graveyard.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns zero-mana commander casts into an infinite engine by leveraging a few distinct moving parts. Because Metallic Mimic is set to the Kobold creature type, Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh enters the battlefield naturally bearing a +1/+1 counter, making it a legal target for Together Forever's activation. Once Together Forever has tagged Rograkh with its protective effect for a single mana, Ashnod's Altar steps in to sacrifice the tiny legend, netting two colorless mana to cleanly fund both the re-cast and the next activation. The result is an endless cascade of enters-the-battlefield, death, and sacrifice triggers that easily churns out infinite colorless mana and an arbitrarily high storm count.
