How it works

1. Cast Vizier of Many Faces by paying its mana cost. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
2. Put Vizier of Many Faces into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. Vizier of Many Faces's first ability and second ability trigger, along with Rakdos Joins Up's second ability.
4. Resolve Vizier of Many Faces's second trigger and Rakdos Joins Up's trigger, dealing damage to target opponent.
5. Resolve Vizier of Many Faces's first trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns the legend rule into a lethal engine by using a clever copy interaction. When you cast Vizier of Many Faces as a clone of Rakdos Joins Up, state-based actions immediately send one to the graveyard, triggering its own first ability to recur itself with two additional +1/+1 counters. Meanwhile, both the original Rakdos Joins Up and the dying copy trigger their damage-dealing abilities whenever a legendary creature you control dies, letting you continuously loop the copy to burn out your opponents. Starfield of Nyx can even join the fray by continually recycling your fallen enchantments, ensuring your engine keeps running smoothly.
