How it works

1. Activate Emiel the Blessed by paying 3, blinking Alena.
2. Activate Alena by tapping it, adding at least .
3. Repeat.
4. Once you have infinite mana, you may blink any other creature(s) you control.

This clever loop relies on abusing Alena, Kessig Trapper’s mana-generating ability, which measures the greatest power among creatures that entered the turn—a metric that scales up instantly if she enters with power 4 or greater (or if you have another creature establishing that baseline). By using Emiel the Blessed to repeatedly exile and return Alena to the battlefield, you reset her summoning sickness and tap her for a massive influx of red mana, easily paying the activation cost to keep the blink engine turning. Meanwhile, Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded sits quietly on the battlefield granting haste to your team and providing a handy alternate way to cheat artifact or red creatures into play from your hand.
