How it works

Equipping Basilisk Collar grants the Paladin lifelink, ensuring that any damage it deals immediately translates into life gained. Slipping Quicksilver Dagger onto the creature endows it with a tap ability to deal damage directly to an opponent, which in turn triggers the Paladin's untap clause whenever that life is gained.
