How it works
Activate three lands by tapping them, adding at least 3.
Mana Flare triggers three times, adding 3.
Activate Magus of the Candelabra by paying 4 and tapping it, untapping the three mana-producing lands and Thousand-Year Elixir, as it's a land due to Toph.
Activate Thousand-Year Elixir by paying 1 and tapping it, untapping Magus of the Candelabra.
Repeat.
This clever loop transforms your battlefield into a self-sustaining mana and untap engine by turning all your nontoken artifacts into lands thanks to Toph, the First Metalbender. With those artifact-lands in play, Magus of the Candelabra gains the ability to untap them—as well as itself, since it also becomes a land! Thousand-Year Elixir lets you bypass summoning sickness to immediately untap Magus of the Candelabra, while Mana Flare doubles the yield every time those lands are tapped for mana. The result is an infinite loop that pumps out boundless mana and untaps every land and artifact you control.
