How it works

1. Cast The Notary Hobbits by paying 3 plus commander tax if applicable.
2. When The Notary Hobbits enters, it triggers, creating two nonlegendary token copies of it.
3. Activate The Notary Hobbits and the two Notary Hobbits tokens by tapping them, adding CCC for each Halfling you control.
4. Activate Food Chain by exiling the nontoken Notary Hobbits, adding six that can only be spent to cast creature spells.
5. Choose to return The Notary Hobbits from exile to the command zone.
6. Repeat.

By leveraging Food Chain to repeatedly exile your commander, you can infinitely recast The Notary Hobbits to amass a staggering horde of nonlegendary token copies that enter the battlefield alongside it. Because Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu grants your creatures the ability to be tapped as though they had haste, these freshly spawned Hobbit tokens can immediately tap to generate massive pools of colorless mana based on your total Halfling count, while Shang-Chi's own tap ability concurrently provides the colored mana you need to keep the engine moving.
