How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Thunderblust
2. When Thunderblust dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Thunderblust enters, Stalwart Successor triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Thunderblust
4. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
5. Repeat.

This explosive loop centers on Thunderblust, whose persist ability normally lets it return to the battlefield just once with a -1/-1 counter; however, Stalwart Successor cleverly intercepts this drawback by placing a +1/+1 counter on it the moment it enters. Because Magic's state-based actions cause +1/+1 and -1/+1 counters to annihilate each other, Thunderblust is stripped of its -1/+1 counter and becomes pristine once more, ready to persist again. You can repeat this cycle endlessly by feeding Thunderblust to Goblin Bombardment, turning the relentless resurrection into an infinite stream of sacrifices that pelts any target with lethal damage.
