How it works

  1. Activate Marina by tapping it, unlocking Spiked Corridor.
  2. Spiked Corridor triggers, creating three 1/1 Devil creature tokens.
  3. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing two Devils, adding U manaU mana.
  4. When the Devils die, they trigger, dealing 2 damage to any target.
  5. Activate Pemmin's Aura's first ability by paying U mana, untapping Marina.
  6. Activate Marina by tapping it, locking Spiked Corridor.
  7. Activate Pemmin's Aura's first ability by paying U mana, untapping Marina.
  8. Repeat.

This delightful machinery turns Marina Vendrell into a Room-flipping engine, fueled entirely by the mana and sacrifice outlet provided by Phyrexian Altar. By repeatedly locking and unlocking Spiked Corridor // Torture Pit with Marina Vendrell's tap ability, you flood the board with Devil tokens while Pemmin's Aura keeps untapping her using the mana generated from sacrificing those very same Devils. Because Spiked Corridor // Torture Pit also boasts a static damage-boosting ability, those dying tokens convert into lethal noncombat damage for an infinite loop of destruction.
