How it works

1. Cast Aeve from the command zone by paying 2 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. Aeve's storm ability triggers, creating a nonlegendary token copy of itself for each spell you've cast previously this turn.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar three times by sacrificing the nontoken Aeve and two Aeve tokens, adding six C.
4. Choose to have Aeve returned to the command zone from your graveyard.
5. Activate Crossroads Candleguide three times by paying 6, adding .
6. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing an Aeve token, adding CC.
7. Repeat step 6 until you have enough mana to cast Aeve.
8. Repeat from step 1.
