How it works
- Cast Aeve from the command zone by paying 2 plus commander tax, if applicable.
- Aeve's storm ability triggers, creating a nonlegendary token copy of itself for each spell you've cast previously this turn.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar three times by sacrificing the nontoken Aeve and two Aeve tokens, adding six C.
- Choose to have Aeve returned to the command zone from your graveyard.
- Activate Signpost Scarecrow three times by paying 6, adding .
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing an Aeve token, adding CC.
- Repeat step 6 until you have enough mana to cast Aeve.
- Repeat from step 1.
This fascinating loop turns a massive storm count into an endlessly repeating cascade of oozes, fueled entirely by the commander tax itself! When you cast Aeve, Progenitor Ooze, its storm ability fills the board with a multitude of copies that conveniently lose their legendary status as tokens, letting them survive side-by-side. You then feed these newfound ooze tokens—along with the original commander—to Ashnod's Altar to generate a heavy pile of colorless mana. To turn that raw colorless energy into the green mana required to recast your commander, you put Signpost Scarecrow to work filtering your resources at a two-mana exchange rate. By carefully balancing your sacrifices and filtering, you can infinitely recast Aeve, Progenitor Ooze to fuel a spiraling engine of endless creature tokens, death triggers, and storm power!
