How it works

1. Activate Vessel of the All-Consuming using Walking Ballista's second ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
2. Vessel of the All-Consuming's first ability triggers, as well as its second ability if it has dealt 10 or more damage to the opponent this turn.
3. Resolve the first trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Vessel of the All-Consuming.
4. Resolve the second trigger, if applicable, causing the opponent to lose the game.
5. Repeat.

By using Agatha's Soul Cauldron to grant Walking Ballista's counter-removal ability to our creatures, we unlock a devastating engine with Hidetsugu Consumes All // Vessel of the All-Consuming. Since Vessel of the All-Consuming naturally grows and gains abilities when dealing damage, turning its triggered damage-to-counter tracking into a tap-free activation lets us repeatedly ping an opponent. We simply remove a counter to deal 1 damage, trigger the transformed Saga's growth to immediately replace that counter, and repeat the loop until they are wiped out by the alternate-win condition.
