How it works

1. Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of your library.
2. Toothy triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. Cast Sensei's Divining Top from the top of your library by paying 0 and removing a counter from a creature you control.
4. Repeat.

This ingenious loop uses Falco Spara, Pactweaver to bend the rules of the game, letting you cast spells directly from the top of your library by trading away counters from your creatures instead of paying mana. Sensei's Divining Top is the engine that keeps feeding itself back to the top, and while its cost is normally one mana, Falco Spara's alternative payment turns it into a free spell—so long as you have a counter to spare. That is where Toothy, Imaginary Friend comes in; every time you draw a card from the Top, Toothy grows a +1/+1 counter, which generously provides the exact fuel Falco Spara needs to keep the cycle going. Even though Ballad of the Black Flag is present, the true magic of the combo relies on this perpetual motion machine of drawing the Top, triggering Toothy, and recasting the Top for zero mana to repeat the loop indefinitely.
