How it works
- Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of your library.
- Cast Sensei's Diving Top from the top of your library by paying 0 and removing a charge counter from Uthros Research Craft.
- Uthros Research Craft triggers, putting a charge counter on it and causing you to draw a card.
- Repeat.
This cunning loop turns Sensei's Divining Top into a self-sustaining engine by letting you repeatedly draw it and recast it from the top of your library. Falco Spara, Pactweaver provides the vital alternate casting cost, allowing you to pay for the Top simply by removing counters rather than spending mana. Meanwhile, Uthros Research Craft acts as the battery and the payoff, not only supplying the expendable charge counters required by Falco Spara's ability, but also drawing you an extra card and replenishing its counters every time you cast an artifact spell. Even though Artist's Talent isn't strictly necessary for the core loop to function, its static cost-reduction on Level 2 and rummaging ability make the entire sequence smoother and more explosive.
