How it works
- Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of your library.
- Cast Sensei's Divining Top by paying 0 and removing a counter from a creature you control.
- Elena triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
- Repeat.
This ingenious loop turns Sensei's Divining Top into a self-sustaining engine by letting you repeatedly draw it and recast it for free. The magic happens thanks to Falco Spara, Pactweaver, whose static ability allows you to cast spells from the top of your library by trading a counter from a creature instead of paying mana—a cost easily paid using the +1/+1 counters generated on Elena, Turk Recruit whenever you cast historic spells like the Top. Meanwhile, Samut, the Driving Force sits on the battlefield passively buffing your board and reducing noncreature spell costs based on your speed, ensuring the loop runs with absolute efficiency. By repeatedly tapping the Top to draw a card and placing it back on top of your library, you continuously trigger Elena's growth while churning through your deck for near-infinite card draw and storm count.
