How it works

1. Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of your library.
2. Jace's Projection triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. Cast Sensei's Divining Top from the top of your library by paying 0 and removing a counter from a creature you control.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Sensei's Divining Top into a self-replenishing engine by leveraging Falco Spara, Pactweaver's ability to cast spells from the top of your library using any creature's counters as alternative payment. Because Sensei's Divining Top puts itself back on top of the library when it draws you a card, Falco Spara lets you recast it for the low price of removing a counter from a creature you control. Meanwhile, Jace's Projection happily capitalizes on the endless card draw by growing larger with a +1/+1 counter every time you draw. Though Ballad of the Black Flag isn't strictly required for the loop itself to function, its presence on the battlefield ties the board together as a historic permanent that can be found along the way, showcasing the sheer versatility of historical synergies.
